Animations

Animations are something like the freestyle of presentations. They are not mandatory, and you can also create a perfect presentation without animation. However, animations allow you to create special effects that give your presentation that certain something. You can present complex relationships more clearly and you can direct the attention of your audience in a more targeted way.

In general, you can animate everything in a presentation. You can fly in text, make icons fly over the slide, insert transitions between slides, and much more.

Even though it is a wonderful gimmick to animate as much as possible in a presentation, I do not advise you to do so. Depending on the age and capacity of the computer, it can quickly become overloaded and the animations hang and not display properly. Unfortunately, this is very frustrating when you have put a lot of work and time into it.
But feel free to test the limits of your computer for yourself:)

Therefore, I would like to give you a few tips along the way:

  • use animations in moderation
  • limit yourself to one to three different animation effects in a presentation
  • always test the presentation before the lecture
