Effortless Uniform Design – The Master Slide
Master slides are a powerful and useful tool that allows you to easily and efficiently edit the design and layout of your entire presentation. Think of the master slides as templates that form the backbone for all your slides. By making changes to the master slides, you can automatically adjust the look and formatting of all the slides in your presentation.
For example, in the master slide area, you can: Set the font and size for headings and body text. You can add background colors and images, as well as design the general layout to your liking. Why do you need the master slide when there are already ready-made designs?
If you scroll over the ready-made designs at Impress, you’ll quickly notice that most of LibreOffice Impress’s designs look brightly colored and outdated, and can’t keep up with the modern designs that e.g. offered by the paid program PowerPoint.
Although you can also use PowerPoint’s designs in Impress, it makes sense to acquire the basic knowledge of the slide master in order to be able to adapt the colors, font or design to your wishes even with such ready-made templates.
