Improved seed
In 2013, we financed the “improved seeds” project. This idea was behind the campaign:
We prefer to use seeds that have to be bought and sown annually. However, this is not necessary, because there is seed that always brings new seeds in addition to a good harvest. This can then be used again. According to our partner “Hoffnung für Niger e.V.”, this was intended to be used to even more seeds than was originally used. Part of the additional yield of seeds can then be passed on to neighbouring villages. We thought that was a good thing and financed it. The result was incredible. The pictures were taken within 3-4 months between the sowing of the seed and the harvest. You can reuse the seed obtained in the same year. Click here for more pictures >>
